Skincare Before the House Wakes Up (or While They're Still Looking for Shoes)

Some mornings, washing your face feels like a luxury. But for me, skincare isn’t about looking flawless—it’s about doing one small thing for myself before the chaos hits. There’s a little voice in my head that says, “girl, wash your face.” And some days, that feels like a symbolic reset. Like I’m claiming my five minutes of peace before everyone needs something.

I don’t have time for a 10-step routine. I need products that work, go on fast, and don’t require a spa playlist or a special tool.
My current AM routine, tested through chaos:
Cleanse – Epionce Lytic Gel Cleanser. The way this makes my face feel squeaky clean with zero dryness is chef's kiss.
Tone – Epionce Clarifying Toner. Quick spritz and done.
Vitamin C – Timeless Vitamin C Serum. Affordable and effective.
Moisturizer - Colorscience Barrier Pro. Gentle, layers well.
SPF - Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Sunscreen. Doesn't pill, doesn't sting, and yes—you need it.
It takes less than five minutes, and it helps me feel like I started the day doing something for me.
Bonus: Pair your skincare with an existing routine, like brushing your teeth. Keep it simple: product next to toothbrush = less mental effort = more likely to happen.
